Known Hull Lists

Yes, most of the known hull lists have not been updated for 3 years. This is entirely my fault/my time availability. I have started work on the backing data and updating these lists, starting with the shorter CD30, 33, 36, and 40 lists.

Welcome to!

We are celebrating our 5th year in 2011. Welcome to both new and returning viewers!

This site is intended to provide an interactive and community-driven home for Cape Dory Power Yacht owners. This does not replace, only supplements, the broader Cape Dory boating community found at Although this site is specifically oriented toward owners, anyone interested in Cape Dory Power Yachts is welcome here and encouraged to register.

There is lots of Cape Dory history, vendor information, specifications, a chandlery, and more at not repeated here.

All Cape Dory Power Yacht owners (24 Trawler, 28 Cruiser, 28 Flybridge, 28 Open Fisherman, 280 Sport, 30, 33, 36, and 40) are encouraged to join the Cape Dory Sailboat Owners Association, the only national Cape Dory owners association. Though the emphasis of that organization is on Cape Dory sailboats, they welcome Cape Dory powerboat owners to join as Associate members and to participate in all of their activities, including many regional fleet events. is not directly associated with the CDSOA, but is obviously a supporter.

Another organization you might consider participating in is the Marine Trawler Owners Association (MTOA). They offer education, resources, cruising assistance in many ports, and both national and regional rendezvous.

I hope you enjoy using the site. Feel free to experiment: join the community by contributing content and providing your unique expertise and view. Please consider making a financial contribution; this web site is personally maintained (and costs paid for) by the one private sponsor....and Thank You to those few that have contributed from time-to-time!.
